Built in 1937, four miles east of the centre of Cardiff; situated in mainly privately-owned residential area; good links with local businesses and the community. Links with parents are also positive and parental involvement is actively encouraged. Behaviour is a strength of the school and its caring ethos is immediately obvious to all those who visit. Children at the relaxed and happy school are well-motivated to give of their best. They regularly support a number of charities and a wide range of after-school activities includes dance, drama, art, computer club, study club, Monday fun club, football, rugby, netball and cricket. The school has two playgrounds and a green field for sports. Before-school care, from 8.15am; after-school care, until 4.15pm. Over-subscribed, with five applications per place.
