Background:

Purpose-built primary opened in 1976; extension built and large-scale refurbishment in 2003; situated in pleasant residential area five miles north-west of Cardiff; most pupils come from immediate neighbourhood. Large, open playing fields; specific area for environmental and conservation studies. ICT suite and nursery opened in 1999. Extra-curricular French offered, as well as football, netball, rugby, cricket, baseball and Urdd club. Has own orchestra and choir; many pupils receive tuition in woodwind, brass, violin, cello and guitar.
